Local Business Woman Receives VIP Invitation to Fashion Rio Week
Tricia Andres McDonald, Owner of Belo Sol Swimwear was formally invited to Rio’s Premier Fashion Week, held in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Leaving for Rio on Sunday, January 11th and returning on January 22nd, Tricia became the only Canadian delegate out of 90 delegates from over 25 different countries to represent foreign investors in Brazil’s Textile industry.
FIRJAN, The Federation of Industries of the State of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, selects representatives to attend their Fashion Business Shows in order to attract foreign business. This was an amazing opportunity for a local business owner to meet the world’s leading designers in swimwear and beachwear.
Tricia was interviewed and photographed by Vogue Brasil, Women’s Wear Daily, and WSGN trend spotter website. Tricia says “this was the most exciting part of the trip, to voice opinions on Brazilian Fashion and being an integral part of shaping their fashion scene.” She believes that all women deserve to feel comfortable and confident while wearing swimwear.
