The Heart Truth Fashion Show 2012

The designer submissions took place in July 2012.  I submitted my design on the last day?
It was an anxious wait for two weeks.

Design submission was a gown of Cherry red silk satin for the bodice accented by diagonal flounce and clusters of sparkling faceted beads. The multi layer organza skirt featured an uneven hem and sweeping train.

On August 7 we found out who the 11 designers were chosen of 18 submissions.
As well as learning who the celebrity models would be to wear our designs.  Sunday Omany was chosen for my design. She is a professional model and Humanitarian. It was a joy working with such a lovely Lady.

As the event drew closer the finishing touches were completed on the gown.

I was extremely pleased with the completed gown.  Details shown here are the diagonal flounce clusters of beads and bespoke flowers.  So pretty!

An interview with Judy Gabriel, one of several during the evening.

Beautiful Sunday walking the runway during The Heart Truth Fashion Show.
Such a worth while event to educate women of the need to care for our hearts!!

Elegant an Relaxed

Working with Brides to be who know what they want is the best experience for a designer.
This is the story of Deb's Gown.

Creating a gown for such a lovely woman, mother and new bride was truly a pleasure.
Simple, elegant and classic were most important.

This was achieved by carefully selecting silks and lace that achieved such a lovely effect,
and a classic color Eggplant purple for the sash was the finishing touch.

Even though the gown was slim, it is possible to bustle up the sweep for comfort and ease of movement.

The selected lace was French, soft ivory with 3 types of cream beading accented by clear glass centers. This lace was laid over a stunning white Italian silk satin. Resulting is a soft dimensional effect.  Elegant and luxurious.
