Back to Victorian Times!

With years of fascination of the craft of dressmaking,
I was pleased to help Janet realize that costumes can look true to the era AND be comfortable!!

Can you believe this Ladies traveling suit is tailored, boned and custom fitted?

Created of a lustrous Silk Wool blend, this burgundy suit is fully lined in silk and perfectly breathable and comfortable!
The wide brimmed hat is not quite a Merry Widow style, but needs to shield the sun!
The hat belonged to Janet, and was refreshed by Celina Peterson of
The hat looks F a a b ulous ! !

Of course studio images are not perfect, but some details need to be featured. The sweeping skirt features an adjustable waistband and box pleats at the waist and for comfort. The fit to flair style is accented by custom made flat roses and ruffle trim. Very typical of the period.

A closer look at the skirt hem detail.
I couldn't' resist making a fascinator of roses and feathers for Janet. This is a broach style, can be pinned onto a hat as well.

Fabulous Fashion Show ! !

Finally some images of the Fashion Has No Borders Runway Show!!

The show opened with this sexy embroidered silk organza Mini!!

Bridal attire can be anything you envision. Here we added a small birdcage veil custom designed with the same embroidered organza and silk flowers.

Completing the look is our Fingerless gloves, gauntlet style of organza and embroidered lace! These gloves are a unique style statement you will see over this season.

This gorgeous black silk satin gown is classic elegance!

Many modern features include draped bodice with a natural waistline! Accented by a large draped bow, and fit to flair skirt!

Couture Mini Topper, custom designed by Little House of Hats by Celina Peterson.

This Mini Topper sold at the show!

CGS Collections features custom designed Fingerless gloves, shown here in black tulle lace with ivory embroidery.

Judy Gabriel of City TV was guest host and just loved the black lace gloves!!

We were pleased to provide them to Judy for the evening show!!

Sleeves!

This new element to bridal gowns is showing up for 2010. A dove grey chiffon bat wing jacket adds a contemporary feel to classic strapless silk satin gown. Both pieces are accented by silver embroidered ivory tulle lace.

Another example of classic in a modern style!
Modern Classic Alencon lace over silk mikado. The large Birdcage circle style veil features a large douppioni flower and coque feathers with swarovski crystals.
The veil was sold just after the show!!

Finale!!

My finale gown was Sexy, Layered, Color, One shoulder super modern!Soft gold jacquard organza over ivory silk satin. Rushed bodice and skirt, featuring one shoulder neckline with gorgeous little flower and swarovski detail. The hottest trend in veils this season is to combine many elements as shown. A birdcage veil blusher, illusion chapel length veil and large matching silk flower fascinator.

The uniqueness of this gown demanded spectacular accessories. The mini topper custom designed by Celina Peterson of Little House of Hats fills the request. It's ivory straw with fabric and feather details.

The end of many months of preparation!

Judy asks about the "New idea of custom Designed?"
