It's That time of Year," Wedding Season!"

Brides this season have Choices Ga-lor! Let's talk about the Top trends of 2009.
I have had great fun looking into these trends, from the top Couture Houses and the best of Bridal Couture.

As we watched the award shows there they were! All the Hottest Fashion Trends of the 09 season. But of course they were the designers who are "The Style Makers" of the fashion world.

There isn't any better than the designers who's gowns were on the stars walking the red caret at the Golden Globes.

Top Trends as seen on the Golden Globes; As listed by "In Style Magazine"

1.One shoulder, 2.Metallic shimmer, 3.Strapless, 4.Belted, 5.Ruffles, 6.Deep V-neck, 7.Shorter length's, 8.Mermaid silhouette, 9.Deep purple, 10.Pastels.

As I mentioned earlier this week, Brides should go to the Best designers for inspiration of their wedding gown. I Showed some of my favorite gowns in the same article.

Now here is an interesting parallel.

The Top Bridal Fashion Trends for 2009 are; As listed by "In Style Weddings"

1. Tiered skirt,2. Floral applique, 3. Strapless, 4.Short dresses,5. Two toned
Curiosity always gets the best of me so I set out to discover the budget to create a selection of gowns inspired by some favorite gowns I have found in my research these past two articles.

But if you look carefully you will see almost all the top trends from the fashion world as well including belted, plunging V-neck line, Strapless, Mermaid, and shorter lengths.

Enjoy a preview of some favorites of mine, and trend setting gowns; With Estimates!

Let's Talk Value!

As I watched the Golden Globes Awards I was pleased to see a return to Wearable Couture!

The gowns were feminine, interesting, and there was a great variety of silhouette. There was a wonderful balance of Hollywood Glamour, Goddess inspired Romance and the must have 70's inspired one shoulder bodice.

What struck me as I watched was, "how wearable the gowns are this year".
Any of these gowns could inspire a brides choice for her gown.

And. . . . . . . Who wouldn't be inspired by the fantastic list of designers. It was a thrill to see every gown by such designers as; Dior, Cavalli, De La Renta, Galliano for Dior, Versace and Chanel. Bridal designers were well represented by Elie Saab, Carolina Herrera and Reem Acra.

I would like to impress upon all brides "Consider the Best as you look for inspiration for your wedding Gowns!

In the words of funny Lady Joan Rivers,"Can We Talk?"

My best advice is to remember these 4 details;

~ there are almost no limitations when choosing a custom designed gown!

~any design detail or silhouette can be considered when designing your couture gown!

~your gown can perfectly fit you, be comfortable and absolutely amazing!

~ your custom designed gown can include almost all details important to you AND Manage Within Your Budget!

NOW THERE IS VALUE!!

Gowns from the Golden Globes 2009

Drew Barrymore has received mixed reviews for her John Galliano for Dior gown and "messy hair"!

It's super sexy silhouette showing through the lovely sheer skirt with it's gorgeous hemline.

Can You Just See This in White!!

"I just Love this Gown!"

Renee Zelweger is Stunning in this Sheer bodice and beautifully
sculpted skirt. Another gorgeous hemline!
Of course it's by her favorite designer Carolina Herrera.

Imagine this in a vanilla white? Super Sexy!

Mylie Cyrus wears Marchesa.
This gown could easily walk down the isle.
Note the gold graphics on the underskirt.

"Imagine this gown On the Beach!"

This Gorgeous gown by Oscar De La Renta shows a natural waist, lovely use of bodice detail and sparkle.

"Imagine this in a lovely Ivory Chantilly lace?"

Sparkling Winter Wedding !

Like a winter storm whirling in, November was fast and furious!

With the wedding date set for mid-December we scheduled fittings and were off !

The challenge to this gown was the 14 meters of tulle that makes up the outer 4 layers of the skirt. To this we scattered 1000 swarovski crystals to catch the light and sparkle like snow. All this over Italian Silk Duchess satin.
Notice the vintage feel to the gown. The natural waist and style of skirt is reminiscent of the 50's.
My favorite thing about this gown is that the silk is clearly visible through the tulle, allowing the Silk to "shine".
The faux fur cape was designed for the gown, it features a silk lining, high shawl collar.
It is always my pleasure to create the most beautiful gown for clients and this was no exception, but when the Brides Mother is Wowed!. . . Speechless and Tears fall !. . . . then "I know it's Perfect! !"
Wach for this one to be posted on my portfolio soon!

Glamour! Glalmour! Glamour!

Another peek at the gowns of 2009!

This gown makes me giggle! I love working with texture, lace and trim. When this fabulous fabric was chosen, I couldn't wait to get started.

Something more unique, definitely One-of-a-Kind!

The gown is created in Embroidered Silk Organza over Tissue Organza. The bodice and neckline is embellished with swarovski crystals.

To complete the look, a custom designed birdcage veil.

During October I received pictures from Michelle's wedding.
You may recognise the bride from some of the fashion show pic's from September.
Michelle was kind enough to model for two shows and the BT Morning Show appearance.
Here are previews of the wedding day photos that will be posted on my portfolio soon!

Since September?

Where has all the time gone?
They say "time flie's when your having fun!"

October was spent completing Karen's gown for her summer '09 wedding. She has thrilled me with her openness to ideas. Her gown features classic elegance along with unexpected colored gemstones! Here is a peek!
During October many Brides-to-Be experienced a comfortable consultation to plan for their 2009 weddings.
Some inquiries were for 21010 weddings. These gowns are more formal project and I applaud those gals for the extra time allowed to create !
It's never too early to call or e:mail.
Planning in October for several gowns, but one unique project is a cocktail length dress for an afternoon wedding in the UK !
We chose a natural white Duchess Silk satin and will make the full skirt and crinoline a real focal point with luxurious silk satin ribbon.
Another shorter design for a Hawaii destination wedding found the bride choosing Dove grey Stretch silk satin, with Chiffon accents. This dress featured a mid calf hem, and 3/4 chiffon sleeve. Both the Bride and I loved the softness of the color and richness of the silk satin.
Stay tuned for the pic's, the wedding is in two weeks!
